| For my turbo swap - I am going to mount ( ok not me but u get the picture ) the greddy egt gauges in the turbo instead of the downpipes or inconel manifolds .. my concern is that the egt gauge will / can destroy the turbo because it cant handle the high heat .. It was recommended to me to try this and splice the inconel egt gauge into the existing greddy wiring ... thought I would share --the inconel egt gauge is only $36 / each ... kinda like a " no brainer " [ http://www.grtavionics.com/ ] Probes & Accessories EGT Probes - EGT probes include 4' of matching extension wire and connector accessories They are constructed with an Inconol 600 protection tube, compacted mineral insulation, and a water-proof transition joint with 2' long stranded leads with stainless steel overbraid. Type-K calibration. Aircraft quality--not the low cost wire-in-a-tube type. (6' total length.)
